Ahlofè
Details & Storyline
Documenting the trials and tribulations of a select group of Italo-Canadian women devoted to saving West African children from devastating illnesses. Operating outside the norms of charity and goodwill, these women wage war with diplomacy, bureaucracy, and so-called charitable organizations, to help children from the Ivorian coast. Working with Italian activist Enzo Palumbo, the group has created a triangle linking Canada, Italy and Africa. With a boots-on-the-ground approach, they tackle individual cases, trying desperately to get the international medical community to respond to their call.
